DEA dismantles major fentanyl network connected to Phoenix

PHOENIX — The U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday the dismantling of a major drug trafficking network that stretched across multiple states including Arizona.

Up to 16 individuals have been arrested and “record-breaking” amounts of fentanyl have been seized following the execution of multiple search warrants in five states.

“This historic drug seizure, led by the DEA, is a significant blow against the Sinaloa Cartel that removes poison from our streets and protects American citizens from the scourge of fentanyl,” U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a statement…
