Burglary suspects arrested in Scottsdale possibly tied to international theft group

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Seven people are in custody after a multi-organizational crime bust in Scottsdale on Friday.

Police say all the suspects are believed to be part of a South American Theft Group from Colombia. The group was taken into custody around 4:15 p.m. after officers conducted a search warrant at a short-term rental near Camelback and Miller Roads.

Officers initially received word from the Burbank Police Department in California on May 20 that the group might be in Phoenix. The group has allegedly committed similar crimes in California, Oregon and Washington. Burbank police shared key information, including vehicle descriptions…
