Scottsdale nonprofit needs new A/C unit to continue helping homeless families

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — A nonprofit in Scottsdale that helps families experiencing homelessness now needs some help of its own.

“A family has to place a call to us and say I have nowhere to go, and so we’re that possibility for them,” said Family Promise of Greater Phoenix CEO Ted Taylor.

Taylor has been the CEO for the last 15 years. That was around the time Family Promise moved into a former apartment building built in 1961 in South Scottsdale, now converted into a family shelter campus. It’s one of five sites around the Valley…
