PHOENIX (AZFamily) — No one knows just how intense the Phoenix summers are more than those who struggle to escape them. “It’s brutal. You have to find somewhere to go, some shelter,” said Edward Reason.
After his family had a falling out and had nowhere to go, Reason has been struggling to get back on his feet for the past five years. He said the extreme summer heat doesn’t help.
During the summer, he moves from shelter to shelter, cooling center to cooling center, just to get some relief. “They close up and then you have to find some place to go after closing hours,” he said…
