Tex-Mex chain Z’Tejas closes remaining Arizona locations

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After almost three decades in business, a Valley Tex-Mex chain has shut its doors.

Z’Tejas announced all Arizona and Texas locations are permanently closed as of June 30. The restaurant chain opted not to renew its lease, citing “challenges in today’s market” as a reason for the closure.

“We are deeply grateful to our guests, neighbors, and friends for your support, your stories, and for making Z’Tejas a part of your lives. It’s been our honor to serve you,” management posted on its website…
