Banner Health, a healthcare non-profit with hospitals throughout the Valley and Scottsdale, announced that five nationally recognized cardiovascular specialists from Scottsdale will join the organization.
The team of five will be led by interventional cardiologist and renowned clinical research David Rizik, M.D. Joining Rizik will be Robert Burke, M.D., who a press release says is widely regarded for his expertise in advanced cardiac imaging, as well as Kevin Klassen, M.D., Imad Khaled, M.D. and Ankur Gupta, M.D.
According to the press release, the team will help Banner significantly expand its cardiovascular services in Scottsdale and the East Valley. Rizik was named “Master Interventionalist” by the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, a prestigious honor reserved for top tier global interventional cardiologists, thanks to his work in clinical trials in coronary valvular heart disease which has been instrumental in securing Food and Drug Administration approval for a range of innovative cardiovascular technologies…
