Pedestrians won’t be allowed to stand on traffic medians in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — An ordinance passed by the Scottsdale City Council will soon prohibit pedestrians from standing on traffic medians for too long.

Starting Sept. 25, the city will implement a rule that bans individuals from standing or remaining on most traffic medians in Scottsdale. Violators of the rule could be charged with a Class 3 misdemeanor.
