Valley man gets 18 years for shooting, robbery at Phoenix Central Avenue store

A 35-year-old Phoenix man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for a 2024 robbery during which he pistol-whipped and shot a victim inside the Phoenix Soles store on Central Avenue, authorities said.

Junn Alan Quinto Coleman, who was sentenced this week, pleaded guilty to Hobbs Act Robbery, a federal crime that prohibits actual or attempted robbery that affects interstate commerce, and discharging a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, according to a release from the Arizona district of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
