A Phoenix man is facing felony charges after allegedly making threats to a local vocational school. On Oct. 6, Luis Santiago Herrera, 32, was arrested on counts of making a terroristic threat and computer tampering, as FOX 10 Phoenix reported. According to the same source, Herrera is accused of threatening to launch an attack on the Home Building Academy and its administration.
The incident was sparked when an administrator at the school, which sits at 3100 East Broadway Road in Phoenix, refused Herrera’s request to let a classmate graduate due to the classmate’s parental responsibilities. As a result, Herrera is said to quickly have become hostile and made grim promises upon the institution and its staff. “I swear to god on my mama. There wouldn’t be no more graduations. There will be no more [explicitive] enrollments. There will be no more nothing,” Herrera allegedly threatened in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
Details reveal that Herrera went as far as to contact the emergency dispatch, advising them to be ready to send a SWAT team and police to the campus if his demands were not met.
