Hours-long standoff ends at Mesa residence after domestic violence call

Police took a man into custody after an hours-long standoff in east Mesa that included the suspect firing gunshots at authorities, according to eyewitnesses.

The suspect had remained inside an apartment at a complex near University Drive and Greenfield Road.
