Reflecting on 2025, Phoenix lost several popular drinking establishments, including Level 1 Arcade Bar and The Beer Research Institute, as reported by Phoenix New Times. Level 1 Arcade Bar, known for its pinball machines and arcade games, was unable to reach an agreement on its lease and closed in January. The Beer Research Institute bid its patrons farewell at the end of March, still leaving a sister location, B.R.I. Taproom & Arcade, in operation.
