CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Investigators say an argument at the Chandler Fashion Center ended with two young men pointing their guns at the alleged instigator earlier this week.
On Monday around 8:45 p.m., Chandler police received a report of two young men armed with guns threatening another man near the food court at the mall. Officers arrived and found all three arguing in a nearby store.
Investigators immediately took the two young men, identified as 19-year-old Jalen Bails-Bacchus and 22-year-old Jeremiah Bagby, into custody since they were armed.
Through witness interviews and surveillance video, officers say the incident started when 53-year-old John Lathrop approached the young men and threatened to assault them. Investigators say Lathrop attempted to hit the two men, and that’s when they pulled out their weapons, pointing them at Lathrop…
