Record-breaking temps hold strong in Phoenix with slight cooldown on the way

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Yet another daily high temperature record falls in Phoenix. We’ve hit 93 so far this afternoon; the old record was 89 degrees from 2016.

Yesterday was the last day of meteorological winter, which means we can now declare that this winter (December 2025 through February 2026) was the warmest winter on record. The average temperature was 64.0 degrees.

Monday won’t be as hot as Sunday, but it will still be warm with a forecast high of 91. Therefore, there is a good chance that we beat the record of 90 degrees from 2016…
