PHOENIX — Dozens of people gathered Wednesday night for a candelight vigil to honor the life of a woman who was found dead in a Scottsdale canal.
Passion Schurz, 28, was reported missing on March 22, and her body was found in the canal on March 28, just six days after she was initially reported missing. She was last seen near Jackrabbit and Dobson roads within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the Salt River Police Department said.
Police confirmed that there were no injuries related to fractures, stab wounds, or gunshot wounds on Passion’s body. The medical examiner has not yet released her official cause of death, and police said the full report, including toxicology, will not be available for several weeks…
