A man was rescued after he reported being stung by bees “over 100” times while hiking on a mountain in Arizona.
The incident occurred near the summit of Lookout Mountain in north Phoenix on Saturday, April 4, at around 10 a.m. local time, according to a Facebook post shared by the Phoenix Fire Department (PFD).
“Crews located the adult male, who reported over 100 stings and was unable to continue his descent,” PFD said.
Firefighters coordinated “a hoist operation” via helicopter to extract the man, who was then transferred to an ambulance and transported to an area hospital in “critical condition,” per PFD.
