Man sentenced to 10 years in prison for string of violent bank robberies across the United States

PHOENIX — Seth Coles-Body, of Houston, pleaded guilty to four counts of bank robbery and two counts of attempted bank robbery for his role in a scheme targeting ATM technicians.

Federal prosecutors said Coles-Body and his accomplices disabled ATM machines and then assaulted or threatened technicians who arrived to repair them, stealing the cash containers known as cassettes from the machines.

At a court hearing on April 15, U.S. District Judge James L. Robart said Coles-Body “was enjoying a criminal life,” adding that the conduct “was driven by greed and an appetite for money without considering the overall community…
