PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A 29-year-old man is in custody after police say he killed someone at a Phoenix home earlier this week.
Kiaree Steele is accused of killing 51-year-old Roosevelt Ward Jr. on April 27. Police found Ward’s body inside a home near 31st Avenue and Cheryl Drive, just west of Metro Parkway.
While investigating, detectives found that the previous night, Phoenix police officers took Steele into custody due to an outstanding warrant after he was found with blood on his clothes near a Metro Parkway business. He told the officers that he was recently involved in a fight but refused to say anything about the blood on his clothes or his condition, according to police.
Detectives later compared the blood at the homicide scene and the blood found on Steele’s clothing, and the lab returned them as a match…
