POULSBO, Wash. — A 36-year-old man from Poulsbo was arrested Thursday morning for felony harassment and eluding arrest after swinging a bat at vehicles in traffic and other erratic behavior, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 10:19 a.m., Kitsap law enforcement responded to reports of a disturbance near State Route 305 and Viking Avenue NW, including 911 calls of a man with a baseball bat swinging at cars.
The suspect fled the scene before police officers arrived. Officers relocated the suspect in his vehicle near Pioneer Way NW, but he fled again, and law enforcement initiated a pursuit. KCSCO deputies deployed spike strips on Highway 3, which caught two of the suspect’s tires, but the man kept driving on the vehicle’s rims…
