Freeman Family Selects Global Company to Lead Exploration of Bellevue Collection Sale

The owners and operators of The Bellevue Collection have selected global real estate investment bank Eastdil Secured Savills to provide guidance for the potential sale of the mixed-use retail, dining, residential, hotel, office, and entertainment destination in downtown Bellevue.

The Freeman family, owners of Kemper Development Co., made the announcement in a news release this morning. It follows an Aug. 28 announcement that the family was exploring a sale.

The family-owned and -operated company was founded in 1946 under Kemper Freeman, Sr., with the opening of Bellevue Shopping Square, an outdoor, 16-store shopping center. Over more than five decades at the helm, Kemper Freeman, Jr., transformed the property into The Bellevue Collection as it stands today. It includes Bellevue Square, Bellevue Place, and Lincoln Square North and South, encompassing more than 5.5 million square feet across three office towers, three major hotels in the Hyatt Regency, W, and Westin, luxury residential apartments, more than 200 stores, restaurants and entertainment venues, and two movie theaters…
