The outside of Pacific Fabrics in Seattle looks like a warehouse with ambitions, a plain grey building wearing a painted mural of billowing fabric like a very stylish hat.
And then you walk inside, and you realize the building was underselling itself the whole time.
This is one of those places that makes you genuinely happy to live in Washington, or to be visiting Washington, or to be anywhere within reasonable driving distance of Seattle on a day when Pacific Fabrics is open.
The comparison to a candy store isn’t just a cute turn of phrase…
