Never losing sight of home, Tacoma’s Tiffanny Hammonds bolsters her community with art defined by its thoughtful use of color and storytelling techniques. Recently, Seattle Credit Union brought on Hammonds to create pieces for its new Hilltop branch. Born and raised in the area, Hammonds says she embraces the culture surrounding the neighborhood and uses its history as a source of creative inspiration. Methodically using color symbolically, the Tacoma artist painted three distinct pieces for the branch: “The People,” “The Purpose,” and “The Vision.”
