Thousands without power, school delays after overnight snowfall in western Washington

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Thousands are without power in Thurston County and on the peninsula Thursday morning after snow fell in areas across western Washington. Puget Sound Energy is reporting over 30,000 customers without power, with outages clustered around Olympia and elsewhere across Thurston County, and on parts of the peninsula around Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Gig Harbor. Peninsula Light Co. is reporting over 6,000 outages, with most clustered on the Key Peninsula.
