Mariners’ Victor Robles: Stays hot in return to lineup

Robles was making his return from a two-game absence due to elbow discomfort, and the veteran outfielder picked up right where he left off in terms of his hot hitting. Robles is now hitting a blistering .426 over his last 17 games, a stretch where he has seven extra-base hits, 11 RBI and seven steals among his contributions, along with a modest 14.1 percent strikeout rate. The 27-year-old’s bat has been the disappointing Mariners’ offense’s most consistent, even though he didn’t arrive in Seattle until June 4 after placed on unconditional release waivers by the Nationals.
