While the Seahawks have already been eliminated from playoff contention, Week 18 still has massive implications for quarterback Geno Smith.
Smith has rejuvenated his career since earning Seattle’s starting job in 2022 and was rewarded with a $75 million contract in March 2023. As part of that deal, Smith can tack on a few million dollars to his annual salary by reaching an incentive during the Seahawks’ season finale against the Rams .
The distant future is more of an unknown for the 34-year-old, but Smith has 60 minutes to earn $6 million. Here’s how he can do it.

Geno Smith contract incentives
Smith has three performance-based incentives on the line in Week 18 — two individual and one team-related. Each incentive is worth $2 million and, as such, would total up to $6 million.
Smith’s first individual incentive is his completion percentage, one he has technically reached but must maintain during Sunday’s game. He enters Week 18 with a 70.2% completion rate and must keep that over 69.755% to earn $2 million.
