Two sisters arrested in Tukwila after back-to-back disturbances; firearm recovered

Two sisters were arrested early Saturday morning, Mar. 22, 2025, after separate confrontations with police outside a business in Tukwila, including one in which officers recovered a loaded handgun from a convicted felon, authorities said.

Tukwila Police said the first incident occurred just after midnight in the 14000 block of Interurban Avenue South, where officers encountered a woman who was screaming and acting belligerently. Police said they attempted to de-escalate the situation, but the woman refused to cooperate or leave the area, even after being given multiple warnings. She was taken into custody and booked into jail.

Shortly afterward, her sister arrived and allegedly displayed similarly hostile and aggressive behavior toward officers, according to police. She also refused to leave and resisted arrest when officers tried to detain her. Police said force was used to take her into custody…
