Seattle woman recounts frightening crosswalk encounter with King County Metro bus

SEATTLE — A woman has filed a claim with King County after she says a Metro bus driver ran two red lights and struck her in a crosswalk.

According to the incident report, this happened at Stewart Street and Yale Avenue on the afternoon of Feb. 13.

The woman said while she was in the crosswalk, the Metro bus, traveling westbound on Stewart Street, sideswiped her hand, causing her to drop her phone and knock her off balance. She told police the bus driver continued without stopping…
