SEATTLE — Three restaurants were included Wednesday among the finalists for the 2025 James Beard Awards.
Atoma is one of the 10 finalists for Best New Restaurant and Archipelago is part of five restaurants up for Outstanding Hospitality. In the regional Best Chef category, Jay Blackinton of Houlme on Orcas Island was one of five finalists for the “Northwest and Pacific,” encompassing Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.
The James Beard Awards annually recognize the nation’s top restaurants, chefs and bakers. They are presented by The James Beard Foundation (JBF), which is a nonprofit “dedicated to leading chefs and the broader culinary industry towards a new standard of excellence.”…
