Seattle real estate owner convicted of tax evasion and false tax returns

SEATTLE — A Seattle real estate owner was convicted last week in U.S. District Court of six counts of tax evasion and six counts of making false tax returns, Acting U.S. Attorney Teal Luthy Miller announced.

Court records and trial testimony revealed that Steven T. Loo, 69, had ownership interests in multiple commercial real estate properties in western Washington and California.

He hired property management companies to oversee these properties, directing them to send profits to two bank accounts under his control…
