Washington women wanted for Portland coin store theft; could be more victims

PORTLAND, Ore. — Two Washington women were indicted on first-degree theft charges for allegedly stealing a coin worth thousands of dollars from a shop in Southeast Portland.

The theft took place on June 4 at a coin and precious metals shop in the 3500 block of Southeast 52nd Avenue.

The shop owner said two women went into the store and stole a gold coin worth $3,400 using “sleight of hand,” and tried to take another coin…
