SEATTLE — A Ballard curiosity shop known for its eclectic collection of oddities became the target of thieves over the weekend as burglars making off with nearly $20,000 worth of unusual items including a woolly mammoth tooth and shark teeth.
Two hooded and masked figures broke into Ballyhoo Curiosity Shop on Ballard Avenue early Sunday morning, smashing display cases and scooping valuables into sacks before fleeing the scene.
