Bellingham woman’s stolen car used in Seattle smoke shop break-in

SEATTLE — A Bellingham woman attending a convention in Seattle discovered her car stolen and later learned thieves had used it as a battering ram in a smash-and-grab robbery at a Greenwood smoke shop, resulting in a combined $130,000 in damages to both the victim and business owner.

Kathryn Angvik said she was attending a rooftop event with friends on Aug. 31 when she found her Hyundai Elantra missing.

“We were there for probably 40 minutes when I went to go walk back to my car, my air tag said it was six miles away,” Angvik said…
