Kent woman, 19, faces vehicular assault, DUI charges after I-5 crash

A 19-year-old Kent woman faces potential charges of vehicular assault and DUI after she reportedly crashed a SUV that injured herself and two passengers early Monday morning, Dec. 1 along Interstate 5.

The woman was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound, just north of South 272nd near Kent and Federal Way, when she reportedly crossed all lanes of traffic from lane one and struck the concrete barrier on the left shoulder, according to a Dec. 1 Washington State Patrol press memo.
