US-2 Closed Near Monroe After Early Morning Pedestrian Fatality Involving Sheriff’s Vehicle

A woman died after being hit by a vehicle on US-2 near Monroe, Washington, just after 6:30 a.m. The vehicle was an unmarked King County Sheriff’s Office car. The 26-year-old woman was struck in the westbound lanes in an area without traffic controls. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
