Man arrested, charged with hate crime after violent phone calls to Seattle synagogue

SEATTLE — A 30-year-old Seattle man is accused of making violent threats against a local synagogue earlier this month.

On Dec. 12, around 9:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of threats against a religious institution in the 1500 block of East Pike Street. The suspect had made phone calls to the synagogue, which were automatically routed to the victim’s phone, leaving two disturbing voicemails.

According to the police report, he “made various anti-Jewish statements and made threats to murder members of the synagogue,” including the chilling threat, “when I find you, I’m going to murder all of you.”…
