Washington Deputy Performs PIT Maneuver on Wife Who Stole Estranged Husband’s Car

A high-speed pursuit in Kitsap County, Washington, ended when a stolen car crashed into an overpass after a PIT maneuver. The car had been reported stolen by a man who claimed his estranged wife had taken it.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 5, the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call. The man who made the call told authorities that his estranged wife had stolen his vehicle. Not only that, he informed the 911 dispatcher that she had been spotted with a friend at the Suquamish casino.

It was apparently a slow night on the law enforcement beat that evening because not only did Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies respond to the casino, but officers from the Bainbridge Island Police Department and the Suquamish Tribal Police did as well…
