MERCER ISLAND, Wash. — A community gathering on Mercer Island honored the lives of Danielle Cuvillier and her son, Nick, nearly two weeks after police say they were killed by a family member in a triple homicide-suicide that ended with the suspected shooter’s death.
Friends and loved ones gathered at the Mercer Island Community Center to share photos and stories of a mother and son they said were defined by connection, curiosity and love. The event came a week after a vigil at Pioneer Park.
“Danielle had such a large circle of friends,” said Geoff Graves, a friend of the family. “We wanted to give everyone a chance to catch up with others and share the love that Danielle and Nick shared with the world.”…
