40 dogs dead after early morning blaze in Poulsbo destroys dog breeder’s home

POULSBO, Wash. — In the early hours of Friday, a devastating fire engulfed a dog breeder’s residence in Poulsbo, according to Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR).

Fire crews responded to the blaze at the 1400 block of NE Paulson Road around 2:30 a.m. after a neighbor reported seeing flames and called 911, fearing there might be occupants inside, fire officials said.
