Stolen Car Found Blocking I-5 Lane in Federal Way; Two Arrested

A stolen vehicle caused a brief disruption on northbound I-5 in Federal Way on Saturday when it came to a stop in one of the traffic lanes. Washington State Patrol troopers responded quickly and arrested two individuals at the scene.

The incident happened near South 288th Street, where troopers found a vehicle stopped in lane 1 of the interstate. When officers approached the car, they discovered it had been reported stolen. The driver told troopers that the car had simply run out of fuel, which led to it blocking the lane.

Two Arrested, No Injuries

After confirming the vehicle was stolen, troopers took both occupants into custody without any reported injuries. A tow truck was then called in to clear the car from the roadway and restore normal traffic flow.
