SILVERDALE — The owner of Aloha Kitchen in Silverdale, Lori Ann LaFontaine, retired on Jan. 31. But when a local Hawaiian restaurant that served the community for 20 years closed its doors, this, to the community, means more than just another farewell to a small business.
LaFontaine saw this when the restaurant was packed with friends, families, and former employees coming to say goodbye during her final days at Aloha Kitchen.
A mother came to the restaurant and told LaFontaine that she hired all her three sons out of high school…
