SEATTLE — Lee Thomas of Issaquah knew the jingle before he knew the science. “I hadn’t even heard of this stuff,” he recalls. “I had heard the song, you know, ‘Oh, Oh, Oh, Ozempic.’ Catchy tune.”
But once Thomas became familiar with GLP-1 drugs and began documenting his weight loss journey on TikTok, his experience catapulted him to internet fame. Network news shows came calling. Even Oprah invited him on her GLP-1 special. “They had seen my TikToks and invited me out,” Thomas said.
