People line up overnight in Seattle’s U District for Raising Cane’s grand opening

SEATTLE — Customers lined up overnight outside Seattle’s first Raising Cane’s restaurant, eager to be among the first through the doors when the Louisiana-based chicken finger chain opened its newest location at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the University District.

The restaurant, located at 4345 University Way NE, marks Raising Cane’s entry into the Seattle market and its third location in Washington state, following openings in Vancouver in 2024 and Spokane in 2025.
