Vehicle pushed 80-100 feet into building after being rear-ended on Seattle’s Aurora Avenue

SEATTLE — The driver who caused a high-speed, serious-injury collision on Aurora Avenue in Seattle late Monday may have been impaired, Seattle police say.

Officers responding to the crash just before 11 p.m. found a blue Subaru wedged between a building and a gray Hyundai at Aurora Avenue N and N 105th Street.

The speeding Hyundai struck the Subaru from behind, pushing it 80 to 100 feet before it stopped against the side of an auto parts store, Seattle police said.

Two people inside the Subaru were injured. A 66-year-old man suffered a serious head injury and a 58-year-old woman had minor injuries. The 30-year-old woman in the Hyundai also had minor injuries…
