2 arrested in Bellingham, charged in connection with drug houses

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) issued a statement today regarding the recent arrests of 2 Bellingham men.

In January 2026, investigators with the Whatcom Regional Drug Task Force (WRDTF) began an investigation into Mexico based Transnational Criminal Organization (TCO). Investigators identified several drug runners in Whatcom County, as well as a source of supply for the drugs in Federal Way. At this time, the investigation has led to two search warrants and three arrests.

On March 4, 2026, a search warrant was served in Federal Way, where 33.25 pounds of suspected fentanyl laced pills (approximately 137,000 pills) and 2.3 pounds of suspected fentanyl powder, along with about $10K in drug proceeds were seized. The drugs had a combined street value of over $130k. Alfio Felix Rivera (22 years old from Federal Way) was arrested for one count of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of possession with intent, two counts of maintaining, and one count of money laundering. He was booked into the Whatcom County Jail without incident…
