KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — The Kitsap Humane Society reopened to the public Friday after a two-day closure prompted by the seizure of dozens of animals from what officials described as a severe hoarding situation at a home near Poulsbo.
The animals, 57 in total, were discovered Tuesday when Kitsap County Animal Control executed a search warrant at a home. Authorities said the animals were found in filthy conditions, many stacked in cages.
