Burien traffic stop leads to arrests, identity theft charge and stolen gun recovery

A traffic stop in Burien led to the arrest of two individuals, the recovery of a stolen firearm and multiple charges, according to the Burien Police Department.

Police said a deputy conducted a stop Tuesday morning, Mar. 31 and observed that not all occupants in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts.

During the stop, the driver provided a name that was later determined to belong to another person. Deputies said the driver had an active warrant and was arrested and charged with identity theft, driving with a suspended license in the third degree and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device…
