Armed suspect killed in shooting involving deputies near Martha Lake, police say

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A man was shot and killed during a deputy-involved shooting near Martha Lake Wednesday evening, according to police.

Deputies with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance around 5 p.m. in the 16200 block of East Shore Drive, where a male suspect was reported to be armed with a handgun, said Officer Nathan Fabia, public information officer for the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team.

Deputies encountered the man at a home, and “shots were fired,” Fabia said. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. Fabia did not clarify who shot the suspect, adding only that “the suspect was shot.”…
