Ferndale, Wash. — Washington State Patrol said in a press memo released today, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, that a 43-year-old Ferndale man was killed after crashing a car into a transit station along I-5.
The crash occurred about 3:30am today when the 2007 Mercedes-Benz ML SUV the man was driving northbound on I-5 took the off-ramp to the Mountlake Terrace transit station at 236th Street SW. The Mercedes-Benz struck a wall and caught fire.
Witnesses reported seeing the car fully engulfed before first responders arrived. Seattle media reported the car ended up upside down…
