Saharan Dust Expected to Move Into Four-State Region Through Tuesday

Residents across the Four-State region may notice hazier skies over the next couple of days as a plume of Saharan dust is forecast to move into the area beginning tonight and remain through early Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, the dust originates from the Sahara Desert in North Africa and travels across the Atlantic before occasionally reaching portions of the southern United States.
