BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- When Shreveport-Bossier radio personality Krystal “Chica” Montez attended a wedding in East Texas she did not expect to almost run over a stray pup. Remembering that night she said, “I mean when I tell you I did not know, you just saw this little white spot and I’m like oh my gosh and so obviously that’s what made me panic and stop and realize ok, that’s a puppy.”
Krystal has a history with strays and she was not about to leave this one behind. She said, “I love strays, yea, not just you know, also if you look at my dating pattern right, I’m a really good foster home, I love on them and then send them to their forever home.”
She loved on the pup, set up medical care and then she did what anyone would do, she posted pictures with her and her friends. One of those friend’s Mom saw the pictures and asked who’s dog is that. He told her the story and Carol Ann Ray told Chica, “I said, hey, don’t worry about her tonight or in the morning, let me keep her, let me take her to the vet for you and we will meet up later and king of go from there.”…
