SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – At the age of fourteen, Val Lurry, heard a knock on the door and she could’ve never expected the series of events that would follow.
A man – a stranger – knocked on the door on the morning of May 22nd, 1999, and asked if Val’s mother was home. Unsuspectingly, she told him her mother wouldn’t be home all day and she was home alone. The man left, with that important piece of information, only to return just fifteen minutes later, and abduct Val at gunpoint.
“He had a truck and he shoved me in the floorboard of the truck, and he drove all day. We drove for about eight hours… and we ended up in Lake Charles area,” explains Lurry…
